About the School Counselor position

We are looking for a School Counselor who will join our organization and help students prepare for academic achievement٫ ensure career readiness and develop their personal or social competencies. Your duties will include using a comprehensive٫ preventive and developmental counseling to help students become productive and well-adjusted adults.

You should be a qualified professional with great attention to students’ needs. Good ability to understand problems and to guide people towards their goals is also required.

School Counselor responsibilities are:

  • Prepare and implement a competitive school counseling program that focuses on and promotes students’ success
  • Evaluate the diversity and individual differences of students
  • Perform direct support services through structured conventions
  • Analyze areas of strength (KSAOs) and advocate students
  • Organize group or individual responsive services
  • Interact with parents٫ teachers٫ community organizations and other stakeholders
  • Monitor the entire educational process٫ interpret tests and study student records
  • Collect and analyse data to measure results
  • Ensure equitable access to opportunities and rigorous curriculum for all students
  • Prepare regular reports on educational progress

School Counselor requirements are:

  • 3+ years’ experience of working on a School Counselor position
  • Significant experience of using various counseling models٫ practices and resources
  • Strong integrity٫ judgement٫ emotional intelligence and professionalism
  • Strong advocacy skills with ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse student pool
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
  • Good ability to collect and analyse data٫ with good level of computer literacy
  • MA degree in School Counseling
